Episode 40: Don't Go Calling Obama, Bank on Drinking Voters

Lots of things covered in tonight's show! For starters, we had Eric Odom of the Don't Go Movement who introduces his group and what they're pushing for. In addition, the show was streamed into the amphitheater at the Republican Party of Second Life. Visit their podcast at ConservativeMattersBlog.com.

As a reminder, there are three things we're looking to the listeners for help or feedback with:

  • We're putting out a call for guests to help us out by opening the show for us. It can be live during the show or it can be pre-recorded and sent via email.
  • We're looking for someone that is more graphically oriented to help us design a logo, color scheme and layout to work with our site.
  • We're also looking for feedback about the concept of East Coast Conservative merchandise.
If you want to comment on any of these, please email us at conservativepodcast@gmail.com. Thanks!

Episode 39: Clinton's Arresting Run Strikes Dog Dreams of Majority

A good show tonight, lots of participants in the chat and in Second Life! We have three things we're putting a call out for -

  1. As Ken mentioned last week, we're putting out a call for guests to help us out by opening the show for us. It can be live during the show or it can be pre-recorded and sent via email. If you're interested, email conservativepodcast@gmail.com.
  2. Next is something we desperately need. For those who have seen our website, it's very text heavy. I'm looking for someone that is more graphically oriented to help us design a logo, color scheme and layout to work with our site. Again, if you're interested, email.
  3. Finally, following up on something Ken mentioned in the last show, once we get a logo and brand set up, the idea has been floated about offering some kind of merchandise

Tonight's show had some technical issues with the streaming audio into Second Life. If you're experiencing these issues please let us know so we can notify the folks at TalkShoe!

We thank everyone for listening! If you like our show, I'm going to ask you to tell three friends you think might enjoy it too. If you didn't, then wait until next week when we'll have different words in a different order.

EPISODE 38: Redneck Blocks Church, Pledges Ballot Issue

A good crowd tonight despite a few schedule conflicts! On tonight's show we came up with an interesting idea - adding some merchandise for the show as well as pushing a couple of topics. If anyone is interested in merchandise for the show, please let us know by sending an email to conservativepodcast@gmail.com. That's also were we take comments for the show so I'll invite them as well.

Thanks again to the Republican Party of Second Life for simulcasting our show! Be sure to check out their podcast, Conservative Matters with Ron Skytower. If you're in Second Life you can also listen to their show as it is recorded in-world on Saturday Evenings... and my show which is recorded on the TalkShoe network.

Tonight we were also joined by Paul "The Voice" Stanton, host of the Getting Political Talk Radio podcast. Thanks to Paul for adding the "on the road" voice this evening.

EPISODE 37: And Now For Something Completely Different

Tonight's show features an interview with Paula Banks-Dahlke. Paula is the endorsed republican, conservative and independence candidate for the 138th New York State Assembly District. She has also been endorsed by Tom Golisano in his quest to reform New York State Government and make it more responsible to the people of NY. She is running on a platform of reducing the out of control tax burden, creating a competitive business environment, reducing energy costs and providing true open and responsive representation.

We had other things to talk about but the interview with Paula was going so well and we were having so much fun, the hour slipped past and we didn't get to them. We'll cover those issues another night I guess.

If you want to contact Paula directly with questions or encouragement, visit her website at http://www.electbanksdahlke.com/ and if you want to contact her, you can use her Contact Form.

EPISODE 36a: Yes, Senator, It's about the Money

Why do I have to live in a state with such uninformed, liberal politicians?!? Today's news (link below) had me boiling mad at my radio again... My dear "Senior Senator" (don't you wish there was a home for them where all they could do is give interviews to dead cameras?) decided that he knows what Americans' jobs are, and "it isn't to increase the revenue of Exxon Mobile."

No, Senator, it is not... but it isn't to pay higher taxes while you refuse to allow legislation that might actually do something for the economy and maybe even the environment to the senate floor.
